President Obama, meet ‘Candidate Obama’ – more Presidential Double-Speak!”

‘Candidate Obama’ might not be too pleased with one aspect of health care reform emerging under ‘President Obama’s watch.’ On a CNN morning show on Super Tuesday during the past presidential election, ‘Candidate Obama’ said the following (you can also see and hear him say it in the first clip below), “If a mandate was the solution, we could try that to solve homelessness by mandating everybody buy a house. The reason they don’t have a house is they don’t have the money. So our focus has been on reducing costs, making it available. I am confident that if people have a chance to buy high quality health care that is affordable, they will do so. And that’s what our plan does, and nobody disputes that.”

Well duh!!! I’m surprised he didn’t go into his ridiculous example of how “everyone that has a car also has car insurance.” Read this, because that’s clearly not the case either.

The current Democratic (a.k.a. Socialist) Leadership will stop at nothing to destroy 1/6th of our nation’s economy. “The end will justify their means,” including piggybacking the future Medicaid costs of the citizens of Nebraska on the other states in order to buy the needed 60th vote in the U.S. Senate over the weekend from Senator Nelson in snow packed D.C. Ask yourself, “if this bill is so great for America, then (1) why are they having to buy their last couple of votes, (2) why is not one Republican voting for it, (3) why have they had to work these past several weekends (and now on Christmas Eve too) to get the bill to this point, and (4) what’s the rush to get it voted on before Christmas???” The reason, simple; the Democrats know that the progress they’ve made within their ranks since the August recess will be destroyed once that many of the constituents let their representatives know how they feel once they go back to their home districts.

The Senate version of the health care bill contains mandates, but ‘President Obama’ has been supporting the bill…something ‘Candidate Obaman’ said he wouldn’t do…so what gives?!?!? Does he say one thing to get elected and then totally abandon his words after he’s elected…apparently so. The first two videos in this post are just two classic examples. Maybe President Obama has developed a disorder known as “selective amnesia.” In fact, one reason that health care costs as much as it does is because it is currently full of mandates from both Federal and State governments.

Ask any doctor you know about their current practice of defensive medicine and you’ll soon find out that the much needed tort reform would bring costs down; but oh no, we’re not going there because that would upset the Trial Lawyer’s Lobby that is squarely in the hip pockets of the Democratic Party. Don’t mention the fact that cracking down on current fraud and abuse in the current health care system would lower cost even more. Don’t allow patients to buy prescription drugs in Canada and other countries because the Pharmaceutical Lobby is doling out money to those that support their position to keep prescription drug costs up, not down.

Health care cost will go up despite what they say using the time-tested, but never-voter approved governmental shell-game tactics. FACT: The proposed health legislation does not start giving any benefits until the year 2014 although the new taxes START RIGHT AWAY. (This delay of benefits was designed to make the bill look less expensive in the CBO 10 year cost analysis of the bill).

This charade has never truly been about reform…that’s been a ‘red herring’ this whole time. This is 100% ultimately about “control!!!” Otherwise, the current administration would have made good on the promises made by ‘Candidate Obama’ about conducting this legislative process out in the open using the transparency he promised in his remarks in these videos.

Those that are in power are way smarter than the citizen’s of the United States. They know way better how to manage health care. They know way better what to do with your money than you do…or so they think. My sarcasm drip-ith! We are now sewing the seeds we have planted in the election of 2008. The birds are coming home to roust, or insert your favorite analogy here.

So what can you do about it? Simple, tell your representatives when they are home for Christmas that their support for these bills in their current form will cost them their jobs come the next election(s), and then make good on the promise at the ballot box. Continue to light up their phones in D.C., fill their e-mail and snail mail in-boxes with your angry letters. Let’s work together to throw the bums out from inside the beltway!!!

‘Candidate Obama,’ these words sound great, but you are simply not a man of your words, so your words mean NOTHING!!! You have made that abundantly clear!!! (It’s interesting how ‘Candidate Obama’ throws the word “shame” around in this video below…well “shame on you Mr. President!!!”

Wow, these words ‘weren’t even your words’ to begin with ‘in more ways than one’ Mr. President!

  1. Experts have talked about this before. How many times have you read about the importance of ‘adding value’ for your audience? How many times have you read about ‘building trust’ with your readers/prospects?
Many, many times. You know it well. Every marketing guru has spoken about this topic. I’m sick of hearing it. But it STILL bears repeating.
