Go to the homepage and BEFORE you sign-on/sign-up, look at the ‘trending topics’ on Twitter shown as ‘Popular Topics By The Minute, Day, and Week. It’s proof positive about what is a ‘buzz’ out there up to the very minute. Other sites offer their version of ‘trending topics’ for their particular site (i.e.,,,,,, etc.). A case-in-point, the recent announcement that Oprah would be ending her show in September 2011 to move on to other business ventures full time. (Ditto on Larry King’s ‘retirement’ announcement)

I submit to you that as you learn more about ‘social media’ in general that you will slowly become an expert in your industry or niche on the subject matter, and people will look to you for information on ‘social media.’ Use your blog and video blog (YouTube Channel) to briefly answer commonly asked questions in your industry or niche.

What are some website/sources you use to find great content; comment below???

  1. Mooie en interessante inhoud.

  2. With havin so much content and articles do you ever run into any issues of
plagorism or copyright violation? My website has a lot of exclusive content I’ve either authored myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my agreement. Do you know any solutions to help stop content from being stolen? I’d certainly appreciate it.

    • Here are a couple of links below on my blog on the issue of copyrighting. I hope they give you some assistance with your inquiry. I always try to be sensitive to this issue on my blog for the work of other creators…for example, this first link below…I will always write something like ” – An article from (original creator)” and put the link to their website or original blog post. I would be interested to know what you find out on your future research of this issue. YouTube I know tries to police this issue pretty well. If you find your content on someone else’s YouTube Channel, you can report it to YouTube and they’ll put a halt to it. I want to always comply within the letter of the law and as a courtesy to the original creator of any content. I personally don’t have any originally authored content on my blog that I would object to someone else using at this time. I’ve gone through the processing before several years ago of copyrighting something that I did with the U.S. Copyright/Patent Office, and it was a fairly easy process.
